Health & Safety Manager Job Description
A highly organized individual is required to lead health and safety initiatives at our Fermoy site, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote health and safety compliance and continuous improvement across the site.
- Conduct risk assessments and create action plans to minimize risks.
- Oversee health and safety onboarding for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Train and support the team in managing health and safety in their areas.
- Maintain and review policies to align with business needs and legislation.
- Enhance safety awareness and collaboration across the company.
- Ensure health and safety controls are part of equipment design and upgrades.
- Regularly inspect the site and audit safety practices, making improvements.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and investigate incidents promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in health and safety, with 3+ years in manufacturing, preferably in heavy industry.
- Knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9000.
- Strong report writing, numerical, and MS Office skills.
- Full clean driving license and eligibility to work in Ireland.
