Health and Safety Manager sought for leading food production company in Hilden, Monaghan, to develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

As a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. You will conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation, and provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
  • Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

  • Lead health and safety committee meetings and ensure effective communication of safety issues and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and best practices in health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective solutions.
  • Relevant health and safety certifications or qualifications.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
