Job Description
Manage HSE matters across Ireland, ensuring compliance with legislation and developing a health and safety management system. Ideal for someone with EHS/Quality experience in food manufacturing, production, or logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Safety Management System (SMS) standards and processes aligned to industry best practices and local regulatory requirements.
- Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and practices to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Conduct workplace safety audits and implement remedial recommendations.
- Ensure HSE training is embedded in training plans and deliver training courses.
- Investigate accidents and near misses, prepare and report findings, and implement approved courses of action.
- Provide technical expertise, advice, and support on Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, and Incident Management.
- Review and update local HSE policy and procedures in line with company best practice.
- Establish and oversee Occupational Health for the business.
- Identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments for all areas of the business under current HSE legislation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a Safety role, ideally in a warehouse/logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Health & Safety Management or related fields.
- Knowledge of the food manufacturing or food safety industry is desirable.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
