About the Role

Energia Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Huntstown Power Station in Dublin. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to ensure compliance with statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work.
  • Develop and maintain Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and communicate them to employees and contractors.
  • Conduct risk assessments, routine inspections, and support with site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Act as a contact for external Health and Safety agencies, such as the Health and Safety Authority.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience of carrying out risk assessments and conducting Health and Safety audits.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a power plant environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
