Staffline are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our expanding team at our facility in Co. Clare. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures that comply with current legislation and industry best practices. Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to internal stakeholders, supporting Safety Committees and Safety Representatives. Foster a strong, positive health and safety culture across the organisation, championing excellence and inclusion. Coordinate and deliver comprehensive health and safety training, including inductions, procedural updates, and new legal requirements. Prepare and compile detailed accident reports and investigations, driving safety initiatives and accident prevention efforts. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of work areas and processes, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented. Support and coordinate emergency plans, evacuation procedures, and safety drills. Provide Senior Management with health and safety reports and metrics, and manage related software systems for document control, auditing, and incident reporting. Requirements and Skills: A third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a recognised safety certification. 2-3 years of on-site experience as a Safety Officer (experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essential). Strong understanding of Irish and EU health and safety legislation and experience in risk assessment. Proficiency in auditing and delivering training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and educate others. Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, showing initiative and innovation.
