Job Description:
The company is looking for a motivated H&S Officer to join their team and take a leading position within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will have previous H&S experience within the construction industry, preferably within residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide regular safety training and create organisational safety guidelines
- Ensure accidents are reported, recorded, investigated, and actions taken to prevent reoccurrence
- Enforce safety regulations in the work environment
- Work closely with construction managers, workers, and external health and safety bodies to maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct regular safety audits
- Offer guidance, instruction, and advice on all health and safety matters
- Ensure equipment is installed safely and manage the safe disposal of hazardous substances
- Manage and delegate work to the safety team
- Develop a positive health and safety culture
Requirements:
- Recognised Health & Safety degree or diploma
- 4+ years experience in a similar role
- Previous construction experience, preferably in residential projects
