Health and Safety Support Manager required to coordinate and advise on Health and Safety aspects, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.

The Business Assurance Department is seeking a Health and Safety Support Manager to join their team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be based near Dublin, spending their working day on different corporate and Aviation sites throughout Ireland.

Driving licence and own transportation are essential.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Assurance Department and assist the H&S Management Team to:

  • Coordinate, support and advise on Health and Safety aspects
  • Establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems
  • Ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are adhered to

The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, with an assertive but calm demeanour, self-motivated and a team player.

A good sense of humour is essential.

The role involves:

  • Daily monitoring of operations within the region
  • Liaison with onsite and regional management
  • Ensuring all employees within the region hold correct H&S training
  • Ensuring Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to
  • Assisting with risk assessments and accident investigations
  • Managing lone working procedures
  • Fostering a positive Health and Safety culture
  • Liaising with external clients and contracts
  • Producing regular reports and following up on corrective actions

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Nebosh International General Certificate
  • Experience of working in a H&S position
  • Genuine interest in H&S
  • Professional approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills and verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work with software packages
  • Competent and comfortable using Microsoft Teams
  • Good timekeeping and attendance record

Salary: Starting rate of €38,500 rising to €42,050 after 1 year, plus car allowance of €5,440 per annum.

Probationary period: 6 months.
