Job Description

Health and Safety Support Manager required to coordinate and advise on Health and Safety aspects, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.

The Business Assurance Department is seeking a Health and Safety Support Manager to join their team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring operations and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with onsite and regional management to ensure effective Health and Safety practices.
  • Ensuring all employees hold correct Health and Safety training and records are up to date.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and implementing recommended improvements.
  • Managing lone working procedures and conducting safety inspections.
  • Fostering a positive Health and Safety culture and contributing to safety initiatives.
  • Liaising with external clients and contracts under supervision.
  • Producing regular reports and following up on corrective actions.
  • Gathering and analysing Health and Safety data and statistics.

Desired skills and experience include:

  • Nebosh International General Certificate.
  • Experience working in a Health and Safety position.
  • Genuine interest in Health and Safety.
  • Professional approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT skills and verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability to work with software packages.
  • Competent and comfortable using Microsoft Teams.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance record.

Salary: Starting rate of €38,500 rising to €42,050 after 1 year, plus car allowance of €5,440 per annum.

Probationary period: 6 months.
