Location: Community Mental Health Service, Blackrock, Co. Dublin Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately.In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services. Relief Panel Social Care Worker and Health Care Assistants (Relief contracts) Role Summary The social care worker will work as part of the rehabilitation multidisciplinary team providing support to services users with mental health challenges aiming to assist people to live as independently as possible and achieve their personal goals.The role involves working collaboratively with other professionals to create and implement individual care plans, provide emotional support and connect service users with community resources. The healthcare assistant will work alongside members of the rehabilitation multi-disciplinary team to assist in the delivery of personalised recovery orientated care and promote independence, recovery and well being for service users. Relief is predominately required in rehabilitation day and residential services, including housing support. 24 hour shift cover may be required. Minimum Requirements Social Care Worker Ordinary Bachelors Degree in Applied Social Care Studies awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) OR Ordinary Bachelors Degree in Social Care awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) OR Diploma in Applied Social Studies / Social Care from DIT OR Ordinary Bachelor's Degree in Social Care Practice awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) OR Ordinary Bachelor's Degree in Applied Social Studies (Disabilities) awarded by a recognised body (Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications) or the National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disabilities), The Open Training College (HETAC Accredited) OR An equivalent social care qualification from another jurisdiction. Experience working in mental health is desirable. Minimum Requirements Health Care Assistant: Successfully completed a relevant QQI certificate (formerly FETAC) at level 5. Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role, preferably in a Mental Health Setting. Remuneration Salary Grade 3029 Consolidated HSE Pay Scale for Social Care Workers (€38,451 - €54,445) Salary Grade 6075 Consolidated HSE Pay Scale for Healthcare Assistants (€33,934 - €43,039) Initial location The initial location of this role is in South County Dublin. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CSs other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
