Job Description

Health Care Assistants are sought to join the team at Oakleaves Care Centre, where they will assist with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of all residents.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
  • Work efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care.
  • Assist nursing/residential home residents with all personal care required, including bathing, washing, and ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and relevant healthcare legislation.
  • Observe and monitor the wellbeing of residents, reporting any unusual occurrences to senior staff and documenting appropriately.
  • Assist with mobility and transfer using specialized equipment.
  • Participate in ward meetings.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and maintain ward cleanliness.
  • Maintain and develop good professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors.

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Healthcare experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work a flexible shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
