Job Description
In a healthcare setting, work under supervision to assist patients with daily activities, maintain cleanliness, and perform administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver practical nursing care assistance
- Collaborate with nursing staff to help patients with daily activities
- Keep unit areas clean and tidy, including cleaning and making up unoccupied beds
- Attend to the hygiene of equipment and report spillages to housekeeping
- Dispose of clinical waste according to hospital policy
- Assist patients to navigate safely around the unit
- Deliver specimens to the laboratory
- Check and order unit stock as needed
- Maintain orderly storage of supplies
Requirements:
- FETAC Qualification - Major Award, Level 5
- Previous experience (1 year) in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in work practices, including working nights and weekends
