Job role:Health & Safety Advisor (Construction) Dublin / Leinster Area Our client one of Irelands leading construction contractors is advertising a role for a H&S advisor This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated H&S professional to further their career within a growing organisation. You will be dealing with keeping the standard up to par across residential, commercial and data centre projects. Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 2+ years in similar role Previous construction experience IT Skills Must work well as a team and be able to collaborate with others This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
