Job role: Health & Safety advisor Drogheda The CSR Group has been retained by one of Irelands Leading Main Contractors who are looking to recruit an experienced H&S advisor to be based full-time in Drogheda. They see H&S as one of their main priorities in the workplace and want to add somebody to the team to implement a top-down approach and help keep a safe workplace environment. The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Health & Safety advisor, ideally with prior experience working on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical or Cleanroom projects. Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 3+ years in similar role Previous construction experience DC/Pharma experience preferred This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
