Job role: Health & Safety advisor Dublin We are currently working with one of Irelands leading main contractors who are looking to take on an experienced Health & Safety advisor in the Dublin area. As a H&S advisor your role will be to uphold the health and safety of the site and keep it up to standards. You will be working with staff, management and sub-contractors while reporting directly to the H&S manager on the job. The successful candidate will have prior experience working as a Health & Safety advisor within the construction industry. Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 2+ years in similar role Previous construction experience IT Skills This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
