The CSR Group has been retained by a leading Residential contractor who is seeking to employ a Senior H&S Advisor.
This company, which has numerous large scale residential projects ongoing, is seeking an experienced H&S professional to join their team and be based in North Dublin.
They classify Health & Safety as a main priority within their working environment and are seeking a Qualified Safety Advisor to implement a top-down approach to safety on site.
The successful candidate will have prior H&S experience in Construction with a strong understanding of H&S regulations in Ireland.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
- Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
- Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees.
- Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
- Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers.
- Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers.
- Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.
- Making changes to working practices to make them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation.
Qualifications:
- Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).
- 3+ years in a similar role.
- Residential experience (preferred).
