**Health and Safety Project Lead** A Health and Safety Project Lead is required to oversee and support a team in the safe planning, coordination, and delivery of projects on a client pharmaceutical site in Cork. **Job Description** PM Group is an international project delivery company operating across Europe, the USA, and Asia. We provide project management, process design, facility design, construction management, and commissioning and qualification services for leading multinational clients. Our site-based Managed Service teams across Ireland provide a cost-efficient and effective framework for project delivery to our clients. We take projects ranging in capital value from €100k to €15M from concept through all stages of the project life-cycle to handover. **Responsibilities** • Develop, promote, and maintain a strong, proactive health, safety, and well-being culture within the MS Team. • Build and maintain a good working relationship with Client representatives in relation to all H&S matters. • Ensure full compliance with National Health and Safety legislation. • Integrate the PM Group H&S Policies and Procedures with the Client Site Operating procedures. • Communicate and coordinate the adoption of industry best practices in health and safety within the execution of Projects. • Monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined leading and lagging health and safety performance indicators. • Coordinate the development and implementation of health and safety programmes and initiatives designed to continually improve performance. • Support the existing H&S and Construction Management Team members in the execution of health and safety related statutory duties. • Coordinate, and lead as necessary, the investigation of incidents ensuring root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are implemented. • Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building, and behavioural safety coaching. • Coordinate the development and delivery of safety training, workshops, and awareness briefings in consultation with the Site Lead and Client Representatives. **Qualifications** • Recognised Diploma in the Occupational Health and Safety. • Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or equivalent qualification would be an advantage. • An advanced knowledge of construction health and safety principles with proven technical skills in occupational safety and health disciplines with a minimum 10 years' experience in a related role. • Experience in leading investigations and using industry standard tools to determine root and contributory causes of accidents on site. • Experience and proven capabilities in developing and implementing world-class health and safety management systems in a construction projects environment. • Experience in developing and implementing behavioural safety programmes. • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong influencing and negotiation skills. • A demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at management and operator levels within a project organization. • Proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
