Job Description
Lead the site Health and Safety program, ensuring legal compliance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all risk assessments and safe systems of work are up to date and relevant to site operations.
* Maintaining H&S systems on site.
* Conducting specialist risk assessments such as Manual Handling, CoSHH and DSE to reduce risks to meet standards and requirements.
* Supporting site leadership team as H&S business partner to deliver H&S accountabilities and improvement plans.
* Completing business risk analysis and signing off on site related risk assessments.
* Assisting in procuring training in line with needs assessments and delivering in-house health and safety training programs.
* Preparing H&S board reports.
* Driving clear management accountability for H&S to deliver annual improvement plan and injury reduction.
* Supporting site maintenance teams to ensure statutory inspections are completed and machinery is safe to use.
* Monitoring contractors on site and controlling the Permit to Work System.
* Monitoring emergency procedures and site fire safety arrangements.
* Maintaining Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Inspecting and reviewing PPE and safety equipment.
* Leading communications with external authorities.
* Supporting site in cultural and behavioural changes, endorsing a safety-first mindset.
* Implementing and managing Accident/Incident investigations and near miss/Non-Conformance systems.
* Ensuring H&S aspects are accounted for in all projects to minimize risk of injury, ill-health or environmental damage.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years H&S Management Experience in Manufacturing.
* NEBOSH Qualified or recognized equivalent.
* Strong understanding of NI and ROI Health and Safety legislation.
* Experience in a multi-site organization.
* Proven influencing, coaching, communication and time management skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Leadership of the function on site to drive the H&S agenda.
* Capable of working under pressure and solutions focused.
