Description:
Wills Bros are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Officers to join our team in our Technical Bid Office, in Kiltimagh, Co.Mayo. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring health and safety compliance and standards during the bid preparation and project planning stages. We are open to seeing applications at different levels:
- Graduate level
- Intermediate level
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of health and safety documentation for technical bids.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential health and safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support the preparation of technical bid documents with a focus on health and safety requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare safety plans for projects.
- Monitor and review health and safety performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Participate in site visits and meetings to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements.
Key Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience or internship in a health and safety role, particularly within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations in Ireland.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development.
