Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, providing prompting with prescribed medication, and offering companionship and emotional support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Providing prompting with prescribed medication
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks
- Light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
- Assisting clients with mobility and transfers
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a care-giving role
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent
- Full driving license and access to a car (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
