Job Description
Seeking caring and empathetic Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality person-centred care to residents in a modern purpose-built Nursing Home.
Sancta Maria Nursing Home, located in peaceful Kinnegad countryside, provides a high standard of care 24 hours a day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support nursing staff in delivering quality care to meet residents' needs
- Get to know residents' interests and needs, providing attention, support, and companionship
- Promote residents' mobility, supervising and assisting as necessary
- Enable and assist residents with personal appearance and hygiene needs
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, and achieving physical comfort
- Participate in social activities and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Develop and maintain good relationships with residents, families, and staff
Requirements:
- FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent
- Experience working in a healthcare environment with knowledge of HIQA standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive approach
- Caring and empathetic nature
- Fluent level of English, both written and oral
