Job Description

Seeking qualified Healthcare Assistants to provide safe, compassionate, and professionally informed care to children, young people, and adults with disabilities in residential care settings.

Three Steps is a social care based, trauma and attachment informed, clinically supported residential care service provider. We work closely with the HSE, Tusla, and the Northern Ireland Trusts to provide care services for children and adults with disabilities. Our services are located in Meath, and we offer a comprehensive training programme, detailed induction process, and strong team support structures.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work with our care team to provide high-quality care to our residents. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care and support to residents
  • Assisting with daily living activities
  • Supporting residents with their physical and emotional needs
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum Level 5 qualification in Healthcare, Healthcare Support, Social Care, Disability Studies, or a related field
  • Qualifications considered as related and relevant include Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Nursing, Early Childhood Studies, Special Needs Assistant, Disability Studies, Childcare, and Addiction Studies
  • The ability to relate to and care for vulnerable children, young people, and adults and to demonstrate a genuine respect for them, their parents, and families
  • A full clean manual driving licence
  • Flexibility regarding working hours
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and eligibility to work in Ireland
