Your Duties:
* Helping patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Assisting with oral hygiene and denture care
* Assisting patients with walking, transfers, and positioning in bed
* Encouraging and aiding patients in exercises and mobility activities
* Assisting with eating and drinking
* Monitoring and recording food and fluid intake
* Providing incontinence care and changing bed linens
* Assisting with medical equipment
* Sterilizing instruments
* Supporting nurses and doctors during examinations
* Providing assistance in wound care
* Maintaining accurate patient records
* Following hospital protocols and procedures
* Recording observations and reporting patient condition
Patient Interaction:
* Providing companionship and emotional support
* Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
What You Need:
* Caring, patient, and empathetic nature
* 6 months experience as HCA in a nursing home or hospital
* Right to work in Ireland
* Excellent communication skills
* Access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential
* QQI 5 Major Healthcare Support Award (8 modules completed essential) or a Nursing Degree
* Understanding of the Irish healthcare system
