**Your Duties**
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help patients with oral hygiene and denture care
• Assist patients with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and positioning in bed
• Encourage and aid patients in exercises and mobility activities as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist patients with eating and drinking
• Monitor and record food and fluid intake
• Provide incontinence care and change bed linens as necessary
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of medical equipment
• Sterilize instruments and ensure proper storage
• Support nurses and doctors during examinations and procedures
• Provide assistance in wound care and dressing changes
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Adhere to protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Record observations and report changes in patient condition
• Organize and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Support mental well-being by engaging patients in conversation and recreational activities
**What You Need**
• Caring, patient, and empathetic nature
• Minimum of 6 months experience as HCA in a nursing home or hospital
• Right to work in Ireland
• Excellent communication skills
• Access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential
• Full QQI 5 Major Healthcare Support Award (8 modules completed essential) or a Nursing Degree
• Good understanding of the Irish healthcare system and care
