As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in acute hospitals settings. **What We Offer** • **Signing Bonus**: Receive a €150 signing bonus upon joining our team • **HSE Pay Scale**: Competitive pay rate • **Flexible Hours**: Work hours that suit your lifestyle • **Career Progression**: Opportunities for career growth within our organisation • **Free Uniform**: A complimentary uniform for a professional appearance • **Incentives and Awards**: Recognizing and rewarding your hard work • **Regular Training Updates**: Stay informed and enhance your skills with regular training sessions • **24/7 Agency Support**: Ongoing support from our agency team **Your Duties** • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming • Help patients with oral hygiene and denture care • Assist patients with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and positioning in bed • Encourage and aid patients in exercises and mobility activities as directed by healthcare professionals • Assist patients with eating and drinking • Monitor and record food and fluid intake • Provide incontinence care and change bed linens as necessary • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of medical equipment • Sterilize instruments and ensure proper storage • Support nurses and doctors during examinations and procedures • Provide assistance in wound care and dressing changes • Maintain accurate patient records • Adhere to protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations • Record observations and report changes in patient condition • Organize and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members • Support mental well-being by engaging patients in conversation and recreational activities **What You Need** • Caring, patient, and empathetic nature • Minimum of 6 months experience as HCA in a nursing home or hospital • Right to work in Ireland • Excellent communication skills • Access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential • Full QQI 5 Major Healthcare Support Award (8 modules completed essential) or a Nursing Degree • Good understanding of the Irish healthcare system and care
