About the Role Due to new business wins, my client is expanding their team and seeking a number of Fund Accounting Managers and Senior Managers to join their teams. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of fund accounting service delivery to high profile Hedge Fund clients while managing a small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing net asset valuations, managing service standards, resolving complex transactions, and enhancing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of fund accounting service delivery to assigned clients, reviewing and approving daily, weekly, and month-end valuations. Team Management: Manage your team’s service standards and deadlines within a dynamic work environment. Complex Transaction Resolution: Resolve complex transactions by interpreting policies, guidelines, and processes. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative, consistent, stable, and efficient working environment to deliver cohesive service to clients and their investors. Operational Improvement: Generate ideas and continuously assess and improve the operational service model, including input into system design requirements and department-level project work. Operating Model Management: Support the management and evolution of the operating model to fulfill client expectations while achieving efficiency and control objectives. Accuracy and Oversight: Ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of fund accounting processing, including oversight and governance of support Shared Services Offices (CoEs). Client and Product Support: Ensure that new products, client initiatives, and group initiatives are implemented efficiently, controlled, and scalable. Client Relationship Management: Proactively manage fund accounting relationships with clients, ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards are met and exceeded. KPI and SLA Review: Review monthly KPI and SLA reporting to ensure client service expectations are being fulfilled. Risk Management: Review control statistics and performance levels to proactively manage risk in line with the company’s risk-based approach. Interdepartmental Relations: Maintain positive working relationships with key operational groups, including Investor Relations, Custody/Depositary, Product, IT, and outsourced Centres of Excellence. Efficiency Initiatives: Manage client development requests, efficiency initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and related metrics. Service Quality Focus: Continuously reinforce internal and external customer quality service focus within the team, ensuring service delivery is controlled, scalable, and efficient. Process Review and Improvement: Maintain ongoing process reviews to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve controls and processes with a focus on automation. Training and Development: Ensure a high standard of training and competence for team members, with strong career development and succession plans in place. About You Educational Background: While you will be qualified by experience, a related degree or accounting qualification would be beneficial. Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in hedge fund accounting, with a comprehensive A-Z understanding of the NAV calculation process and complex OTC Derivatives. Industry Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of hedge fund accounting with a proven interest in the financial markets and hedge fund industry.
