Job Description

Our Client one of the biggest transport providers in Ireland are seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic who is looking to progress there career for long term employment, with a huge benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations. Take initiative in completing tasks and identifying necessary actions without supervision. Efficiently manage and utilize available resources to ensure high-quality results. Consistently meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity. Mentor and train apprentices, fostering skill development and growth. Provide accurate reporting and maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members. Ensure vehicles are presented in a fully functional and road-ready condition after repair. Participate in upskilling and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs to maintain and improve technical competencies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Vehicle Off Road (VOR) time minimized through efficient repairs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace. Strong attendance record and reliability. Skills and Knowledge: In-depth technical knowledge of HGV systems and repairs. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being self-motivated and proactive. Effective communication and time management skills. Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques. Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy in all repairs and maintenance tasks. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. Commitment to upskilling and staying updated on the latest industry practices. Requirements: Essential: QQI Level Six Award or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years of experience in HGV maintenance and repair. Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to team success.
