Job Description

A permanent HGV Mechanic role in Co. Longford with a thriving Irish food group. Conduct fault diagnosis, perform regular service maintenance, and carry out repairs on a fleet of vehicles. Key requirements include a formal qualification, 2 years of experience, strong organizational skills, and a Rigid and Artic driving license. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with a driven approach to prioritizing tasks and excellent attention to detail.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct fault diagnosis on a fleet of vehicles to identify mechanical or technical issues.


• Perform regular service maintenance on all vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.


• Carry out repairs on trucks and trailers, ensuring timely and efficient restoration to full working condition.

• A formal qualification such as a National Craft Certificate or City and Guilds Level 3 in vehicle repairs.


• At least 2 years of relevant experience.


• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a driven approach to prioritizing tasks and excellent attention to detail.


• A Rigid and Artic driving license is a plus.
