Job Description

Hotel Financial Controller sought for a large hotel group in Dublin, responsible for delivering financial insights, managing budgets, and leading a finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-depth financial presentations to the executive team, highlighting current and forecasted financial positions, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager, contributing to the creation, review, and execution of the annual business plan.
  • Produce comprehensive financial reports, tracking results, identifying trends, and providing accurate financial forecasts.
  • Contribute to overall property management, focusing on optimizing costs and enhancing financial efficiency.
  • Safeguard hotel assets by ensuring robust internal control systems are in place and consistently maintained.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering growth and enhancing their competencies across all financial functions.
  • Support management in increasing financial awareness, enabling more informed and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive and guide departmental managers in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall business goals.
  • Utilize advanced technology to analyze real-time data, transforming it into actionable business insights that support decision-making.
  • Provide support to the ESG committee in achieving sustainability goals and integrating them into our broader business strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Hotel Financial Controller with strong hospitality experience.
  • Good people management, commercial, and operational experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with executive teams and management.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and making strategic recommendations.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
