Job Description

Glenlo Abbey Hotel and Estate located on the banks of Lough Corrib on a 138-acre estate with the original 18th century manor house dating back to the 1740's. Is currently recruiting for a House Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team. The Hotel comprises of 73 bedrooms including 6 suites, 11 Luxury Self-Catering Lodges, Corrib Room (catering for meetings, events, and weddings for up to 170 guests), River Room Restaurant, Palmers Bar and Kitchen, 2AA Rosette Pullman Restaurant (set aboard original Dining Carriages from the Orient Express), Glo Spa & Wellness, a 9 Hole Christy O'Connor Jr designed Championship Golf course and a 21 bay driving range. Job Purpose: The House Managerwill oversee all aspects of Front Office, Hotel & Lodges Accommodation, and Breakfast Departments. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Co-ordinating the guest journey across these 3 key departments. Ensuring communication channels are clear and the guest experience is seamless throughout. This role will typically require AM / Morning shifts. This of course is subject to change as business needs arise. A demonstrable track record of success in 5 Star Luxury Hotel environment is essential for this role. Success will include metrics on Guest Satisfaction / Finance / Team Development etc. Chosen candidate will have exceptional levels of Attention to Detail and an ability to instill these standards in their team members. The successful candidate will mentor and develop their team members, ensuring colleagues have individual succession plans creating growth opportunities, both within the hotel and the wider MHL Hotel Collection. . Sound financial analytical skills are essential. Liaising with Senior Management and Finance Department, this candidate will be responsible for ensuring all Financial KPI's are met or exceeded.
