Job Description
Main purpose of the role: Maintain and enhance the store's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programmes and practices.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years' experience in a relevant position
- CIPD qualification is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Good delegation skills
- Highly driven with a strong work ethic
- Understanding of KPIs and targets
- Commerciality and brand awareness
- Passion for grocery retail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Main duties:

- Ensure optimum employment levels through recruitment and selection procedures
- Develop personal training and development plans for each employee
- Promote a harmonious working atmosphere through employee communication and problem resolution
- Ensure store compliance with relevant legislation
- Provide employee induction and initial and ongoing training
- Document and record internal and external training
- Manage probation periods
- Maintain employee attendance, holiday and leave records
- Implement Grievance and Disciplinary policies correctly
- Ensure customer service programmes and procedures are in place
- Liaise with shop and union officials in accordance with company policies
