JOB TITLE: HR Officer REPORTS TO: Group Head of HR FUNCTION: HR LOCATION: Tipperary PURPOSE STATEMENT: To implement and coordinate all operational HR activities within the Business Unit to ensure that we have best in class HR processes and practices that will facilitate the delivery of business strategy PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in partnership with line management and Group HR to ensure that HR policies and practices are rolled out and implemented appropriately across the businesses. Act as trusted consultant to line managers on all employee relations, grievance and disciplinary issues. Assist line management in the idenfication of their recruitment needs in conjunction workforce plans. Support line managers throughout all stages of the recruitment process ensuring that all roles are filled in a timely manner. Advise line management in the effective operation of the performance management process and contribute to the identification of appropriate development and skills training programmes. Support the implementation of Group HR initiatives within the business through communication, coaching and effective guidance of supervisors and line managers. Engage with line managers, supervisors and employees throughout all stages of the employee life cycle and proactively contribute to the effective and efficient running of the business. Ensure all line managers understand their role as a people manager. Proactively support employee engagement and change initiatives and get involved in projects as appropriate. Manage employee records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date and GDPR compliant. Keep HR systems current, ensuring key metrics are available for reporting. Handle administrative tasks with care and attention to detail. Stay informed about employment law and apply best practices to HR policies. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Knowledge, Skills & Experience required Honours degree in HR or related discipline Previous experience in a HR role, ideally in a manufacturing/food production environment Proactive, independent, with high levels of initiative Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. Up to date knowledge of employment law Strong analytical and organisational skills Takes responsibility with a "can do" attitude Resilience and ability to work under pressure Good computer skills with high level of competency in all Microsoft Office packages, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Hold a driving licence and have access to a car.
