HRIS Specialist, RTÉ

RTÉ (Raidió Teilifís Éireann) is Ireland's national public-service media organisation. RTÉ wish to recruit a HRIS Specialist. This role will support and maintain RTÉ's HR systems, report on HR data and metrics, promote excellent data quality, and support continuous process improvement in HR system processes. This role will evolve over time as we implement a new HR system, as business requirements change, and RTÉ's New Direction Strategy is implemented.

The main responsibilities of the role include the following:

  1. Monthly management of company headcount reporting
  2. Ensure records are kept up to date on HR systems and validating the accuracy of data
  3. Regular system audits and follow through to ensure data compliance to HR processes
  4. Ensuring data managed within our different HR systems is consistent with our Payroll systems data
  5. Provide support, troubleshooting and guidance to all employees for HR systems
  6. Provide training on HR systems as required within the HR team and the wider business
  7. Manage permissions, access and other requests for users of HR systems
  8. Provide HR reports as required from the HR systems, on employee data, activity and metrics
  9. Collaborate and communicate with HR team on data quality, reporting and system trends
  10. Incorporate HR process changes into HR systems processes
  11. Support the implementation of a new HR system

In doing this, the HRIS Specialist will:

  1. Work with the team to meet required timeframes and deadlines
  2. Ensure responses given, actions taken, and documentation produced, comply with internal procedures and standards and external regulatory and legislative requirements
  3. Ensure team and wider organisation are regularly updated on relevant information
  4. Work as part of a committed HR team on other HR activity as required

The HRIS Specialist will be expected to keep up to date with all existing HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, and ensure that legislative and policy updates are incorporated into HR systems. Building strong relationships will be key for the HRIS Specialist – this includes relationships with the wider HR team, with line management and with other key customers and stakeholders in order to keep up to date on business. As the organisation changes and implements its new strategy, the HRIS Specialist should be a positive, solution-focused and motivating individual.

Candidates should possess the following:

  1. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and process delivery
  2. Highly developed working knowledge of HR systems
  3. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft tools
  4. Strong reporting skills, including the ability to build a narrative from the data
  5. Previous experience working in a HRIS role
  6. Enthusiasm and drive to see things through
  7. Ability to integrate well within teams and relate to a wide range of individuals at all levels
  8. Self-motivated, highly organised and flexible
  9. Accuracy and attention to detail, together with the ability to prioritise demands and exercise judgement and discretion
  10. Ability to work and lead in an environment of varying demands and tight deadlines
  11. Excellent communication skills
  12. Experience in HR System Implementation would be an advantage

Appointment will be on a two-year fixed-term contract basis and the salary range for the position is €42,091 to €57,005 (Administrative Grade 1).
