Job Description

This person will manage the Human Resource function for the company and oversee the payroll, disciplinary, legal, recruitment and training responsibilities for the Company and align these with Companys objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with team members, managers and other departments across all sites and deliver improvements and consistency in Human Resource processes. Develop and deliver an overarching HR strategy as part of overall business strategy. Contribute to ensuring communications and employee engagement activities are delivered to a high standard throughout the business. Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and retirement. Assist in all third party audits eg. Customer audits, government bodies etc. Define the standards to be applied in the management of the companys staff and monitor these. Research and develop personnel policies which will ensure that the Company recruits and retains a pool of well-trained and highly motivated staff. Provide an employee relations service to the company on personnel issues. Identify the companys staffing needs and develop policies and procedures to ensure that the required numbers and types of staff are recruited within agreed budgets to meet operational requirements. Recommend and implement reward policies and structures which ensure the effective recruitment and retention of high quality employees. Negotiate with external advertising and recruitment agencies to secure the most favourable terms for the company. Ensure that an effective performance appraisal system is carried for all staff within the Company and implement Performance Improvement Plans where necessary to ensure staff meet the required standards of the Company. Process payroll on a weekly basis and ensure relevant Revenue records are updated on a continual basis. Carry out workplace investigations into matters where required and advise staff on the importance of following correct protocol when carrying out investigations of their own. Oversee the disciplinary process for staff, ensuring that the correct steps, processes, fair process and the rules of natural justice are consistently adhered. Skills and Experience: 3rd Level Education in a relevant field e.g Human Resources, Business etc. Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role ideally with Food. Strong Communication skills.
