Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Pharmaceutical Capital Projects Managed Services Team Dublin based / Onsite With a reputation for delivering engineering excellence, innovative processes, sustainability, our Capital Projects Managed Services team specialises in delivering bespoke solutions across the pharmaceutical sector. We are currently partnering with a global pharmaceutical client and through our onsite team we have the responsibility for driving and delivering capital projects effectively and efficiently. As a site based I&C Engineer you will manage various projects and have responsibility for the Instrumentation and Controls design of pharmaceutical systems through the entire life cycle of projects on the site. You will be responsible for the I&C design elements of multiple projects during initial basis of design, detail design, support during construction phases and close out of the project documentation on completion. Responsibilities: Participate in the creation, review and approval of I&C project deliverables such as specifications, design documents, drawings and calculations, Factory Acceptance Test documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required. Lead and control the design for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems and review the I&C design for colleagues. I&C deliverables include: Instrument selection and developing Datasheets. Updating, creating, and reviewing Drawings (Loop, Panel Interconnection, Network, P&ID and wiring Drawings) Cables Schedules Instrumentation Schedules Instrument Tubing Schedules. Instrument Loop Diagrams. Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. Architecture Diagrams Design 3D Modelling Vendor Equipment Packages. Electrical Block Diagrams User Requirements Specifications Additional Criteria Understand and define project requirements and develop technical solutions Knowledge and understanding of cGMP, GAMP and related industry standards and customer requirements. Coordination and specification of I&C Tender and Construction packs Execute site master planning and Detailed Design engineering phases with other team members. Prepares engineering studies and schematic design for new systems Analyse operation of existing systems. Development and managing of client relationships. Ensure all design and project work is completed in compliance with all regulatory requirements including, Quality (GMP), EHS, Global Engineering, design & construction directives, requirements & procedures, as well as all Local regulatory requirements. Prepare P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), process control narratives, instrument lists and I/O (input/output) lists as part of project design. Development of new processes and standards for completing I&C design Key Competencies Relevant 3rd Level Qualification 5 years + experience in a previous I&C related position Industrial / Pharma experience beneficial Skills: Loop Diagrams controls honeywell Instrumentation
