We are seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join our Building Engineering Group in our Dublin Office. The Candidate will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of design projects across all sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centres, retail, leisure and educational. An integral member of our multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and co-ordination of ICT and related systems (including Security and AV) for a range of projects and will be expected to take them from initial brief through scheme and detailed design to installation and commissioning support.

As a ICT Engineer at Arup, you will be:

  • Designing ICT, Security and Smart Buildings systems.
  • Preparing project specifications and drawings.
  • Conceptual design studies and reports.
  • Technical and project report writing.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their needs.
  • Reviewing design work of junior engineers.
  • Coordination of work with all members of multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Attending at client meetings.
  • Attending on site, completion of site inspections and site inspection reports.
  • Mentoring and development of junior engineers in the group.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about ICT Engineering. We also value:

  • Degree in a relevant ICT design engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • 2-4 years relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Working towards achieving Chartered status or equivalent professional registration.
  • Experience in designing ICT and security systems in a range of projects.
  • Experience in liaising with clients.
  • Proven team player.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
