Immigration Assistant Manager / Manager

Join EY's Tax practice as an Assistant Manager and contribute to the success of the team by leading a team of dedicated immigration professionals, overseeing engagements, and establishing relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

About the Role

  • Lead a team of immigration professionals in delivering technical advice and supporting clients with immigration processes in Ireland.
  • Oversee and manage engagements efficiently, ensuring high-quality work and meeting client expectations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative changes in Irish immigration, providing guidance to clients on implementing necessary changes.
  • Develop and coach junior team members, promoting a positive learning culture and professional growth.
  • Work on new client pursuits, ensuring adherence to risk management practices and processes.
  • Address problems and seek guidance from senior management when necessary.
  • Provide trusted business advice to clients on Irish immigration services.
  • Liaise with Irish Immigration authorities to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
  • Support and lead technical development seminars and courses for the team.
  • Document work in line with EY quality standards, achieving expected outcomes and correcting errors or omissions.
  • Understand and apply correct methodologies, tools, and technology.
  • Act as a client partner to develop immigration offerings and streamline processes.
  • Address client concerns and issues, providing supportive and empathetic service.
  • Manage client engagement finances.
  • Participate in wider initiatives across People Advisory Services and EY Tax and Law practices.

Requirements

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intricate knowledge of Irish immigration legislation, policy, and procedure.
  • Project management capabilities, comfortable managing multiple projects or clients against tight turnaround times.
  • Calm and able to work well under pressure, juggling multiple competing priorities and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Client-focused individual willing to deliver excellent client service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve problems.
  • Advisory-oriented professional able to see the 'bigger picture' and provide pragmatic solutions.
  • Experience managing a team of junior immigration advisors.
