Job Description
Seeking a qualified solicitor with experience in aviation and aircraft leasing to provide in-house legal advice and support to a leading aircraft financing and leasing company.
This is a permanent position with hybrid working and a competitive remuneration package. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years PQE from a commercial law firm or in-house, with prior experience in aviation or aircraft leasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate documentation for cross-border engine leases and transactions.
- Collaborate with other solicitors, both internally and externally, with a focus on short-term leasing agreements.
- Offer legal support to the global sales and transaction teams.
- Provide in-house legal advice to the wider organisation.
- Identify legal risks and challenges, including handling defaults, lease restructurings, repossessions, litigation, and bankruptcy matters.
- Support the development and upkeep of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with parent company regulations.
- Assist the internal co-sec with company secretarial duties.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in Ireland or the UK with at least 2 years PQE from a commercial law firm or in-house.
- Prior experience in aviation or aircraft leasing.
- Experience dealing with senior management and strong commercial acumen.
