Based in vibrant Cork, you'll work alongside the EMEA VAT Manager, ensuring businesses in the region stay VAT-compliant. Your mission? To conquer the world of VAT accounting, reporting, and compliance. With your expertise, accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and payments will be a breeze.But that's not all! You'll also flex your skills in exciting ad hoc projects, from testing to audits. Get ready to be the go-to hero for all things VAT-related, tackling queries and supporting the team.Embrace the thrill of Indirect Tax excellence!Job RequirementsEnsure VAT compliance in the EMEA region, adhering to laws and regulations.Analyze financial data to identify VAT implications and ensure accurate treatment.Reconcile VAT accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Prepare and submit VAT returns on time for each country of operation.Maintain proper documentation and records of VAT transactions and invoices.Stay updated on VAT legislation in the EMEA region and provide recommendations.Prepare and review VAT reports, including Intrastat and EC Sales List reports.Support VAT audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.EducationBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field with preferred experience in VAT accounting, compliance, or tax-related roles.Strong understanding of EMEA VAT laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) and Tax engines (OneSource, Vertex) is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving and research skills.Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on VAT regulations.Why NetApp?In a world full of generalists, NetApp is a specialist.
