Our client is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to oversee indirect tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions. This role involves managing a team of tax accountants and providing strategic tax advice to various stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: Manage and review indirect tax computations and draft returns prepared by the tax team. Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submission of returns. Handle internal and external audits focused on indirect taxes. Provide proactive tax advice to stakeholders, leveraging specialist external advice when necessary. Monitor legislative changes in indirect tax and ensure compliance. Lead and manage a team of indirect tax accountants. Develop and implement efficient processes to reduce complexity and enhance compliance. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing indirect tax compliance within a corporate environment. Proven experience with VAT account reconciliation and working with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday. Experience in managing a team and handling multiple compliance projects simultaneously. Desirable Skills: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) and Chartered Tax Advisor (or equivalent). Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to develop innovative solutions and streamline processes. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Working Hours & Benefits: Standard Monday to Friday work week with flexibility for remote working.
