Job Description
A chemist with 3 years industry experience is required to join an innovative team within a fast paced laboratory in Cork.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chemist to join a R&D department, working on formulations and development activities whilst maintaining a focus on sustainability within the company.
Duties include:
- Advancing new product formulations and improving current ones, following industry and ISO standards.
- Support and drive the sustainability initiatives that they use for our product formulations.
- Ability to work alongside a dynamic team to troubleshoot issues and to implement solutions.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the product from R&D to finished product and onsite customer trials
- Comply with ISO17025 quality standards.
- Co ordinate and develop SOPs in line with third party and customer audits.
- Research and develop for improvements independently or within a team.
- Keep up to date with documentation.
- Support all other ongoing laboratory areas
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in a chemistry related discipline.
- Experience with core chemistry skills is essential.
- Minimum three years industry experience.
- Preferred experience working in research & development.
- Background with analytical instrumentation such as UV-VIS, spectroscopy, Ion Chromatography, GC etc
