Job Description

Industrial Hygienist, Global Health and Safety Sciences: Protecting workers and the environment through data-driven risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a solid knowledge foundation in safety management systems, local and regional safety standards, and a proven track record of designing and improving safety programs and policies.

They will have a history of building partnerships with diverse teams across multiple jurisdictions, defining clear requirements in ambiguity, proactively educating team members, leaders, and other support teams, and communicating effectively and consistently throughout all levels of the business.

You'll collaborate with people across the organization to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Define organizational level IH risk assessment methodology and IH risk tolerances for the region.
  • Develop and implement new strategic and programmatic controls for existing or emerging complex IH risks, including air contaminants, biological, chemical, physical, psychosocial, and indoor air quality.
  • Engage cross organizationally with leadership and front-line teams to design IH program controls and testing strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions for global/complex problems, even when the situation is not well understood.
  • Use data and scientific literature to facilitate and drive business decisions, identifying key trends through deep dive analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Maintain subject matter mastery and current industry knowledge to advise senior leadership on emerging trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and leverage industry partnerships to drive innovation in approaches to industrial hygiene and redefine industry best practices.
  • Adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, strategy, and deadlines.
  • Ensure record keeping is maintained and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • Multiple years of experience in Industrial Hygiene.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and mitigating air quality, chemical, noise, and radiological risks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • Experience using Cority Industrial Hygiene Software.
  • Experience with Legionella Risk Management.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist.
