We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position. Position Summary Provide system administration, support, and systems analysis of assigned applications. Analyze customer requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and processes. Oversee design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems and procedures to meet the university and customer needs. Monitor, maintain, and coordinate upgrades for technology systems in the assigned area of responsibility, which includes problem-solving and implementing system modifications. Coordinate the execution of user acceptance testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process. Analyze business process issues and/or problems and provide consulting assistance to system users; conduct research on possible solutions and make recommendations based on findings; suggest, design, test, implement, and evaluate solutions. Provide project management for small system implementations or system enhancements, which may include designing products, providing team leadership, testing, implementing, reporting, reviewing finished products, and tracking performance and data quality. Brainstorm new ways to add more functionality to systems. Coordinate creation, updates, and retirement of interfaces for supported applications. Demonstrate thorough and friendly customer service to the university community. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to different audiences. May perform all or some of the responsibilities above and other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Attributes Minimum 5 years experience in system administration, level 2 application support, and troubleshooting Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related or business-related discipline required. Experience with and understanding of academic environment and familiarity with academic-related applications preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality. Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated, as well as collaborate successfully with a team Unusual Working Conditions Working after hours, on weekends and holidays to complete assigned tasks is sometimes required.
