A seasoned professional is sought to lead a team of technical and field engineers in delivering complex projects for over 200 Credit Union customers across Ireland and the UK.


Job Description


Due to continued growth, a leading indigenous supplier of software to the Credit Union industry is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a team of technical and field engineers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, leading a team, and providing onsite support to clients.


The role will involve:

  • Project managing and leading a team of technical and field engineers
  • Providing onsite support and assistance in projects such as migrations, implementation, upgrades, and deployment
  • Troubleshooting issues and liaising with different departments, outside vendors, and customers
  • Managing process and documentation throughout projects
  • Managing costings and budgets

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technical and field engineers in delivering complex projects
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
  • Liaise with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve problems
  • Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with company processes

Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience leading a team of field/support/infrastructure engineers
  • Experience leading technical projects
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop and hardware technologies
  • Experience with Windows 10 desktop environment, operating system, and MS Office products
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows servers/Terminal servers and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Strong logical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective time management skills and ability to handle multi-tasking and deadlines

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with cloud migrations
  • Knowledge of networking and IP
  • Strong delegating and operations expertise
