Job Description

Due to continued growth, my client, the leading indigenous supplier of software to the Credit Union industry, seeks to hire a Technical Project Manager. The successful candidate will join an established team as a Technical Project Manager who will lead a team of technical and Field Engineers who lead migration, implementation and upgrade projects for over 200 Credit Union customers along with provide onsite support to clients in Ireland and the UK. Candidate should be personable but professional and have excellent stakeholder management skills, process driven along with strong delegating and operations expertise. In this role you will still hold the technical background but not expected to be technically hands on- you will however lead and guide the team of experts through implementations/ upgrades/ cloud migrations. This team is also responsible for troubleshooting the core application/MS SQL Server application and support/troubleshoot hardware related issues onsite in various customer locations across Ireland and occasionally in the UK. The role will be a hybrid model of 3 days on site in the Park West office. Responsibilities: Project Manage and lead a team of technical and field engineers who provide onsite support and assist in projects such as migrations, implementation, upgrades along with deployment, installation and support of business client/server software suite and associated hardware for customer base across Ireland and the UK. Taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to completion while guiding the team and delegating throughout the projects. Troubleshoot issues and liaise with different departments, outside vendors and customers to resolve problems and issues and guide the team through all projects. Stakeholder management skills require by ensuring customer satisfaction and the ability to escalate onsite troubles to the relevant department within the company or to third parties when necessary. Manage process and documentation throughout projects. Manage costings and budgets. There are multiple migrations ongoing for the next few years moving our core applications/services to an Azure environment for all credit union customers. Experience with Cloud migrations is an advantage but not a must have. What you need: A minimum of a degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a relevant related field. Experience leading a team of Field / support/ Infrastructure engineers is a must. Experience leading technical projects is a must. Must be customer focused with a demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written English. Experience dealing with customers, adeptness with addressing complicated technical issues with non-technical users High degree of competency with the Microsoft desktop and hardware technologies is essential. Experience with Windows 10 desktop environment, operating system and MS Office products. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows servers / Terminal servers and a capacity to troubleshoot, diagnose issues and communicate with various hardware vendors on a business and technical level Strong logical problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and take initiative. Effective time management skills; must be able to handle multi-tasking and handle the pressure of deadlines. Basic knowledge of networking and IP.
