Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented individual to support the Legal Team of our hiring partners in managing queries, overseeing litigation data, and maintaining relationships with panel law firms.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to play a key role in enhancing the legal recovery strategy across the business.

This is a 1-year position based in Galway, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the legal framework covering critical areas within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the litigation process to ensure cases are resolved successfully within agreed commercial KPIs.
  • Oversee judgment proceedings in both High Court and Circuit Court cases.
  • Provide legal advice to the secured and unsecured teams on case management issues.
  • Advise on security and title matters, supporting remediation projects as needed.
  • Liaise with external panel solicitors to ensure effective management of cases and timely progress in line with KPIs.
  • Collaborate with external panel firms to establish monthly reporting metrics and update internal systems accordingly.
  • Review and approve cases before initiating proceedings, ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears (CCMA) before action is taken.
  • Approve cases prior to pursuing possession orders, ensuring that all resolution efforts have been explored and documented.
  • Ensure thorough case reviews before appointing Receivers, confirming that requisite powers are in place for such appointments.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Litigation, Property, and Banking law.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment, including the Consumer Protection Code (CPC), SME regulations, and the Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears (CCMA).
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage legal processes.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using databases, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
