Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Job Title: Vocational Training Instructor - Animal Care Permanent, Full-time 36 hours per week Location: Model Farm Road - Cork city, Co. Cork Job Purpose : The Vocational Training Instructor will train and support learners in an animal care program, ensuring the program runs smoothly day-to-day. You will help learners with additional support needs explore careers in animal care, make informed choices, and work towards further education or employment in the field. Minimum Education & Experience required: Third level qualification in any area such as animal Science, Veterinary nursing, zoology, biology with animal behaviour. A relevant qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum. A number of years' relevant occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts, ideally delivering animal care or animal behaviour courses. Experience in developing and delivering training would be an advantage Experience in TQAS and QQI accreditation processes. Experience insourcing work placements. Experience in working on own initiative with a professional and confident approach. Job Duties & Responsibilities Provide Training: Deliver structured training for QQI Level 4 certification, teaching specific modules. Support Learners' Development: Help learners build skills, confidence, and knowledge to achieve their educational and career goals. Facilitate Work Placements: Assist learners in finding work placements and teach them proper work habits and attitudes. Provide Feedback: Offer learners constructive feedback on their progress and keep accurate records of their achievements. Develop and Update Curriculum: Work with staff to create and improve training programs and materials. Additional requirements Full Clean Driving Licence and means of transport Highly motivated self-starter Team orientated Approachable, positive can-do attitude As part of our recruitment process, if applicable, candidates will be required to provide a Police certificate from the countries they have resided prior coming to Ireland. A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign. Salary: Starting at €33263.94 per annum pro-rata, equivalent to €17.77 per hour.
