Job Description

Overview PM Group is an international project delivery company operating across Europe, the USA and Asia. PM Group's OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department are currently seeking to recruit a Projects Instrument and Controls Engineer for our clients site based in the West of Ireland. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide frontline technical support in all aspects of control and automation Assure technical integrity and reliability of the process control and safety equipment. Ensure Compliance to IEC-61511 Participate in HAZOPS, LOPA, risk assessments < Generate SRS and validation procedures and technical safety reviews. Point of contact for project control and safety systems audits with regulatory bodies. Responsible for the engineering and maintenance of main terminal ABB 800xa ICSS, and package PLC's including design and implementation of software and hardware changes to control and safety systems (PCS/FF/ESD/F&G) Develop, engineer and commission instrument, process control and safety system related improvements. Process control tuning and optimization of various processes (gas processing and compression), Lead engineering activities and projects covering all key areas of instrument and control technology, including, flow, level, temperature, pressure measurement, valves and analyzers. Develop, plan and execute instrument and control systems shutdown as well as turnaround activities.. Qualifications Essential A minimum of 5 years' experience in instrumentation and control engineering in the oil and gas industry required. Experience in the maintenance and engineering support of control and safety systems required. Experience as functional safety engineer in the operations/maintenance/modification phases required. ABB 800xA ICSS maintenance and engineering experience is required. Demonstrable experience in the maintenance and engineering of instrumentation and fire and gas detection systems. Knowledge of gas processing and compression. Possess good technical communication skills. Desirable Experience of foundation Fieldbus configuration, PCDevice and Reuse software libraries is desirable. Maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens S7, Mitsubishi), Building Fire panels (Autronica Autrosafe) is desirable. A deep and demonstrable knowledge of installation and commissioning scopes relating to control & automation equipment is desirable. Knowledge of control system networking, routers / firewalls etc. and windows based operating systems is desirable. ATEX design and maintenance experience is desirable. Education & Qualifications Degree in a discipline related subject is required (i.e. Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Process Control). TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification and experience is required. Compex EX12A_B ATEX Design Engineer certification is desirable.
