Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for an Integration Engineer to join their Healthcare Transformation Program. The duration of this post is 11 months initially with likely extensions thereafter. The role will be based fully onsite in Dublin 9. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €30.17 per hour based on an annualised salary of €55,093. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Role Overview As a Healthcare Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that enable seamless data exchange and interoperability across healthcare systems and applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare IT standards, protocols, and data formats, along with strong technical expertise in integration technologies and platforms. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand integration requirements and design integration solutions. Develop data mapping, transformation, and routing specifications for healthcare data exchange. Configure and customise integration tools and middleware to enable seamless interoperability between disparate systems. Implement and test integration solutions, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Develop and configure HL7 interfaces, APIs, web services, and other integration methods to enable real-time data exchange. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working collaboratively with technical teams to ensure smooth system integration. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare informatics, or a related field. Previous experience as a Healthcare Integration Engineer, working on healthcare integration projects. In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT standards, protocols, and data formats (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc.). Strong technical skills in integration technologies and platforms, such as Mirth Connect or similar. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell). Experience with API development, web services, and RESTful interfaces.
