Introduction ProSource are seeking an experienced and motivated Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at a leading Utilities Contractor. Based in the Greater Dublin Region, you will be working on a variety of exciting infrastructure projects within the utilities sector, contributing to the development of essential services in the region. Responsibilities As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, your role will include, but is not limited to: Managing the financial aspects of utility projects, from inception through to completion. Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and assess variations or claims. Evaluating and negotiating sub-contractor packages and managing payment processes. Preparing monthly cost reports and ensuring project costs remain within agreed budgets. Supporting the senior project team with risk management and mitigation strategies. Assisting with the preparation of final accounts and cost reconciliations. Liaising with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience within the construction/utilities sector. Proficiency in cost management software (such as CostX, CATO, or similar). Strong knowledge of construction contracts, such as NEC or FIDIC, and Irish construction regulations. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting project deadlines. Full driving licence and the flexibility to travel to project sites across the Greater Dublin Region.
