Intern, Software EngineerJob Requisition ID # 24WD82065Position OverviewThis is an intern position in our Platform Engineering organisation in Autodesk.Autodesk is a Nasdaq listed, global leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software and provide SAAS products running primarily on AWS. Autodesk is a leader in the Platform Engineering space as a founder member of the opensource Cloud Native Operational Excellence effort (CNOE).As an intern software engineer you will:Contribute directly to the development of our cloud platformGain hands-on experience in platform engineering and cloud technologiesWork in a collaborative and innovative environmentReceive mentorship from experienced engineersNetworking opportunities with professionals in the industryResponsibilitiesAssist in the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud platformParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our codebasePerform testing and debugging of platform components to ensure high-quality deliveryWork on automating deployment processes and improving system performanceAssist in monitoring and maintaining the health of the platform infrastructureWrite and maintain technical documentationEnhance your coding by using new tools and programming languagesMinimum QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldFamiliarity with programming languages such as Python, Go or JavaExperience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a companyUnderstanding of networking concepts and protocolsExposure to Linux/Unix operating systemsStrong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologiesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPassion for technologyThe Ideal CandidateHands-on software development experience in PythonProduction experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure on AWSKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and toolsExperience with cloud-native applicationsKnowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, ECS and KubernetesEnthusiasm and passion for new technologies, demonstrated through personal projects and commitment to learning new skillsAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
