Internal Audit Manager – Global Retail – Hybrid

Barden are delighted to have been asked to support one of the largest players in the global retail industry to support the appointment of an Internal Audit Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Auditor or Internal Auditor eager to advance their career in a growing organisation that provides valuable exposure to a diverse business portfolio.

ABOUT THE ROLE

1. Spearhead internal audit assignments across the group.
2. Play a pivotal role in shaping the annual audit plan along with contributing to the strategic vision of the audit initiatives.
3. Drive excellence by directing detailed audit efforts to high-risk areas, ensuring optimal returns from each assignment.
4. Elevate impact: Craft internal audit reports with crystal-clear recommendations, offering practical solutions to bridge control gaps and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Foster collaboration within a tight-knit Group Internal Audit team.
6. Step into leadership: Act as a deputy for the Head of Internal Audit when required. Showcase your expertise by delivering compelling presentations at both Board and Audit Committee levels.

ABOUT THE PERSON

1. Qualified accountant and seasoned auditor with 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience either in practice or industry.
2. Proficient in verbal and written communication, as well as presentation skills.
3. Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and project management capabilities, along with the presence and authority to promptly secure the confidence and respect of the senior management team.
4. Robust organisational and follow-up skills are essential, encompassing the ability to navigate competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines and commitments.
